About
What Is House of Bartholomew?
Winston Bartholomew Holder III was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Barth was awarded a full scholarship to Howard University where he earned a degree in Architecture in 2003. After graduation, he began working in the architecture field and quickly realized that the cubical offered limited opportunity to exercise his creativity. While researching career alternatives, he discovered that several fashion designers he admired, including Tom Ford, Zaha Hadid, and Virgil Abloh, had started their careers in architecture.
Over the next two years, he taught himself to draw patterns, sew, market to consumers, and build a brand - thus the House of Bartholomew was born. After 20 years in the fashion industry, Barth has established a reputation for producing unique and innovative high-street looks with unwavering commitment to quality.
Barth has collaborated with creatives such as Snoop Dogg, Lauren Hill, Fivio Foreign, and 50 Cent. He was recently the winner of the HBO series The Hype Season 2 where he competed in design challenges against 12 talented competitors.
Our Mission: Provide a premium product that retains its value.
The rise of fast fashion has created an industry standard of minimizing production costs and maximizing quantity and profit. More often than not, this also means sacrificing quality.
House of Bartholomew feels strongly about giving consumers a product that embodies and retains its value - even after its been covered in coffee or champagne. A 24K gold bee is incorporated into each couture garment, representing the investment the wearer puts into themselves and the brand.
